In the form of an ultra-realistic social thriller, “Just 6.5” provides a striking glimpse into Iran, where there are 6.5 million crack addicts. This documentary will show how its director, Saeed Roustaee, first conducted a lengthy investigation on the ground, how he filmed with hundreds of addicted extras, and overcame censorship to become a huge popular success in Iran. It will be based on interviews with the director and his team, as well as largely unseen behind-the-scenes footage.
